Endodontics
What is Endodontics?

At Amarillo Endodontics & Periodontics, we deal with many different types of issues relating to our patients’ oral health. Endodontics is the branch of dentistry concerning dental pulp and tissues surrounding the roots of a tooth. Endodontic treatment and procedures are typically known as “root canal treatment” and relate to the soft tissue/pulp of the tooth. Our practice is trained in the area of endodontics, and we help provide options to save our patient’s natural teeth.
How Is Endodontics Different Than Regular Dentistry?
To become endodontists, Dr. Coury, Dr. Falk, and Dr. Vo each completed two or more years of advanced specialty training beyond dental school, focusing exclusively on diagnosing and treating conditions related to the inside of the tooth.
Both doctors are highly skilled in managing routine and complex endodontic cases with precision and care. Some of the most common treatments offered at our practice include:
- Root canal therapy and retreatment
- Endodontic surgery
- Treatment following traumatic dental injuries
- Management of complex infections or issues involving the root and pulp
Our practice is fortunate to have two experienced endodontic specialists dedicated to saving natural teeth whenever possible. With the use of advanced technology, modern techniques, and a patient-focused approach, Dr. Kirk Coury, Dr. Kenny Falk, and Dr. Viet Vo work together to help restore your smile’s natural function and appearance. Their shared philosophy is simple: preserve the natural tooth whenever possible, because nothing looks, feels, or functions quite like your own.
